Oh so tired today. Yesterday's services were amazing. God moved in a very deep way. Lots of life-changing stuff.
My allergies decided to make their presence known after the evening service, lest I had forgotten they were there. I sneezed so much I couldn't even polite sneeze anymore. Just the blowing your head off stuff. Needless to say, I didn't rest very well last night. The rain this morning, ok - the torrents smashing our windows this morning - didn't help the wide awakeness that needed to be there in order to function.
Good news? My back-up is training today and doing my job for me. My purpose at work today? Filing.
My purpose at home tonight? Laundry. :) Poor Donnie... maybe I'll get it all done this time before he runs out of clean t-shirts.
"I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower." Psalm 18:1-2
God is everything you could possibly need. With Him on your side - there is nothing to fear or dread. Isn't that just awesome?
Have a great week!

Short, Sweet, To The Point
Good afternoon readers!! :)
I hope everything is going well with all of you. There really isn't much to blog about. Life is pretty normal. Which is a great thing. I've been able to spend some quality time with my hubby here lately which has been WONDERFUL. I love just being with him. Whether it's just reading while he studies or going on walks together.
Have a most blessed week. Remember - life is short. Make the most of it.

Satisfaction or Disappointment??
I just want to say for the record for those die hard fans out there.
I was disappointed in the play of the Longhorns this weekend. They came into the game heavy underdogs. Everyone, even my staunch Horn fans, believed that we were in for a beating.
Aside from a few sloppy plays, Texas came to the Shoot-out with heart. They showed their critics that they wouldn't be the push-overs everybody had penned them to be. The blow-out was overted. Way to play hard Horns!!
Am I disappointed in the loss?...Yes.
Was I satisfied with the result?...Absolutely.
Do I look forward to next year?...Bring it!!! :-)

Realizations (Well, duh! Moments)
Well, God is still good and life is still BUSY!! :)
I have had a few realizations of late. Or well, duh! moments as I like to call them.
First, I don't like wearing shoes. The first opportunity to take them off and be free - I take it! Of course this is all contingent upon the surface that I will be walking in said freedom. Nonetheless, I do enjoy walking/sitting/standing barefoot!
The second realization I had was how much I don't listen. The Lord has shown me a few scriptures throughout the last month or so. Powerful scriptures. I wasn't sure how they applied exactly to my life at the time, but appreciated them anyway. Over the last couple weeks, I must admit that I was letting life get to me. Life was just bringing me down and I was to a breaking point. Wednesday night was a healing service, one that I desperately needed and am very grateful for. Saying all of that, I happened upon the scriptures God had given me. Low and behold - they were concerning the very issues I had been allowing to rule my life the last couple of weeks! It makes me wonder - how different would I have approached life and situations had I actually applied those verses rather than simply writing them down and storing them. Hmm.
And thirdly, I love coffee. I've been trying to stay away from it, ofr at least a little while. And last night I had a cup of that sweet, wonderful, yummy nectar. Oh how I've missed it. Three words: Pumpkin Spice Latte. Sigh.
Hope everyone is having a great October thus far!!
